This Consumer Privacy Policy Applies to all Applications and Loans provided through Sony Financial Services (SFS). Sony Financial Services wants to provide you with outstanding products and services. In order to process any application you may make and service any loan that are granted we must collect, maintain and use certain personal and financial information about you and your activities with us. We recognize and respect your privacy concerns and expectations about how we use this information. This Consumer Privacy Policy applies during and after your customer relationship with us. Depending on what type of loan, if accepted, you have chosen, you will be the customer SFS throughout the time you maintain a credit account. Collection and Use of Customer Information
We collect, retain and utilize information about you which we believe is necessary to operate our business, to provide you with quality products and services, and to ensure the protection of your account. We obtain this nonpublic personal information (collectively, "Customer Information") about you from the following sources:
· Information we receive from you on applications and other forms, such as your name, address, phone number, social security number, employment, assets, income and debt;
· Information we obtain about you from your transactions with us, our affiliates or others, such as your account balances and payment history; and
· Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, including your credit history and creditworthiness.
In addition to Customer Information, when you visit any of our websites, we may collect non-personally identifiable information about you in order to measure the use of our website and to assist us in improving the content of our site. We may also collect non-personally identifiable information from you that will permit us to offer more personalized service, which may include the use of an industry-wide technology called “cookies” which is an electronic file sent to your computer allowing us to customize your experience on our websites. When you connect with our website and request to look at certain pages on the website the cookie will allow our web server to recognize your computer. We maintain appropriate policies and procedures to protect the security of your Customer Information. All of our employees and agents have agreed to abide by our Privacy Policy and each employee receives training to better understand the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy. We restrict access to your Customer Information to those employees and agents who have a business reason for using such information. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your Customer Information. The SFS website is hosted in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other technology to help prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Even if you decide to close your account(s) and/or repay your loans(s) or otherwise become an inactive customer, any Customer Information we have about you will remain subject to the privacy policy and practices described in this Consumer Privacy Policy.
Disclosure of Information
In the course of conducting our business and servicing your needs, we do not disclose any Customer Information to anyone except as permitted or required by law. To conduct our business we may disclose Customer Information to (1) financial service providers and other financial institutions with which we may enter into joint marketing agreements from time to time, and (2) as otherwise permitted by law, under the following circumstances:
· To Marketing Service Providers and Joint Marketing Partners. We may disclose all Customer Information (i) to companies that perform marketing services for us, and (ii) to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. We will only disclose Customer Information to those entities that agree to keep Customer Information confidential.
· Third-Party Service Providers. We may disclose all Customer Information to third-party service providers that we have engaged to help deliver our services and products to you, and that have agreed to keep your Customer Information
· Among Our Affiliates. SFS and affiliates include companies in several different businesses such as electronic, entertainment, banking, consumer products, and others. SFS is allowed by law to share with their affiliates any information about their transactions or experiences with you. · With Other Third-Parties. In addition, we may share Customer Information about you with the following types of non-affiliated third parties:

o Financial service providers, such as companies engaged in banking, credit cards, consumer finance, securities and insurance,
o Non-financial companies, such as companies engaged in direct marketing and the selling of consumer products and services.
Prior to sharing any Customer Information with any non-affiliated third-parties, we require each such party to implement a privacy policy consistent with ours, and to agree that they maintain the confidentiality of Customer Information and limit its use to the purposes for which the information was disclosed or as otherwise permitted by law.
If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law). Please allow us 30 days from our receipt of your privacy choices for them to become effective.* Your privacy instructions will remain in effect until you request a change.
